Control of Anterior Torque with a Fully Customized Lingual Appliance in Bialveolar Protrusion Case

The purpose of this article was to present whether customized IncognitoTM lingual appliances are working in anterior protrusion case. The present case report describes the episode of a 23 year-old female diagnosed as skeletal class I malocclusion with bialveolar protrusion. The treatment modalities were as follows; extraction of the 4 first bicuspids and the employment of IncognitoTM lingual system. The changes in denture manifested class I canine/molar relationship. And cephalometric analysis showed that maxillary and mandibular incisors were retracted and uprighted and protrusive lips were retrusion with pleasing facial profile. The present case demonstrates that the correction of anterior protrusion is feasible with a customized lingual appliance. The anterior vertical slot in conjunction with ribbonwise archwire of IncognitoTM lingual system brings out the clinician the best esthetic advantage without any obstacles of torque control.
