Since the use of miniscrews, innovative orthodontic treatment, such as moving the molars distally and reducing the probability of tooth extraction, has become possible. In lingual orthodontics, in the case of the upper arch, it is not difficult to select the implantation site, and the clinical application is also predictable and stable. However, in the case of the mandible, the implantation site of the miniscrew for applying lingual orthodontics is rather limited, and the success rate of miniscrew at lingual side is also lower than buccal side. In this report, we review the case of the application of the mandibular miniscrews in lingual orthodontics and discuss once again the mandibular miniscrew implantation site for successful lingual treatment.
